The apparatus comprises a password generator, an automatic r digital signal processor, and an incoming telephone filter. When a called end receives an incoming call signal of a calling end, it generates a password set. According to the password set, the called end then transmits an audio password to the calling end. The calling end keys the reminded password set based on the audio password. Finally, is generates a result by comparing the password keyed from the calling end with the password set. It determines whether or not the bell of the called end needs to be activated.
