Abstract

The invention relates to an electrochemical biosensor and the manufacturing method thereof, mainly adhering substrate of counter electrode to substrate of working electrode having wires formed thereon. The substrate of counter electrode forms a counter electrode layer thereon, enabling part of wire beneath to expose so as to define the working electrode, and a spacer layer is applied on the counter layer, enabling part of counter electrode beneath to expose so as to define the counter electrode. Therefore, the working electrode and the counter electrode overlap up-and-down on different planes, and the response area of working electrode is determined by the substrate of counter electrode adhered thereto. A substrate that carries counter electrode is designed as the insulating layer between counter electrode and working electrode, so as to switch the space between working electrode and counter electrode from a generally horizontal direction to a vertical direction and to make position control between these two electrodes more accurate and easier.
