Abstract

To prevent laundry loaded/unloaded to/from a drum from being easily caught at vicinity of the front opening part of the drum, allowing a user to scarcely feel heat even if the user's hand touches the front opening part of the drum, to reduce the number of components and the production cost. The inside of a front side opening part (11a) of a cylindrical shell part (11) in the drum (10) is provided with only a synthetic resin balance ring (41), and the balance ring (41) is integrally provided with a cloth catching prevention rib (46).
