Abstract
An alkylation of multi-ring aromatic compound and organic electroluminescent device. The process of alkylation includes reacting a multi-ring aromatic compound with an alkyl halide, aluminium chloride, and an ionic liquid (serving as solvent) to obtain an alkylated multi-ring aromatic compound, wherein the yield of the alkylated multi-ring aromatic compound is more than 70%, preferably 85%.
