Abstract

The present invention relates to a dual-band planar inverted-F antenna, which includes a radiative metal sheet, and the radiative metal sheet has an approximately inverted-T slit, a feed point and a short-circuit point, wherein, the feed point and the short-circuit point are close to each other and located on one edge of the radiative metal sheet; the approximately inverted-T slit is composed of a center slit, a first branch slit and a second branch slit, the approximately inverted-T slit makes the radiative metal sheet be formed as a folding path for generating the first (low frequency) and the second (high frequency) operation modes of the antenna, the first branch slit is used to control the first (low frequency) operation mode, and the second branch slit is used to control the second (high frequency) operation mode. The present invention has the characteristic for being operated in GSM/DCS (880-860 MHz/1710-1880 MHz), and the operation frequency can be easily adjusted to the required band range through the inverted-T slit, so as to satisfy the requirement of dual-band system.
