The invention relates to an optical switch for switching an optical signal from an input fiber into one of two output fibers. The optical switch includes: a dual fiber collimator connected to the input fiber and one of the output fibers; a single fiber collimator connected to the other output fiber; a shifting device for shifting an optical reflector, and the dual fiber collimator and the single fiber collimator are disposed respectively on opposite sides of the optical reflector. When the optical reflector reflects the optical signal to the output fiber of the dual fiber collimator at an activity position and passes the optical signal to the output fiber of the single fiber collimator at an inactivity position.
