Abstract

This invention discloses an improved structure of shape-changed clamping part in the driving head of wrench. It is to equip a hexagonal receptacle space in the driving head of the wrench. The six surfaces of the receptacle space comprise three contacting parts and three propping parts arranged alternatively. Every contacting part is a full flat plane while each propping part consists of two arc surfaces and one intermediate cusp. There is concave formed at the intersection between the contacting part and the propping part. When the bolt head or nut is inserted into the receptacle space, three of its tangential surfaces will contact with the contacting parts tightly and the other three tangential surfaces will be engaged sturdily by the two arc surfaces and the intermediate cusp so as to increase the sustainable torque and to avoid slipping. The wrench can be used to drive worn bolt or nut as well; therefore, the invention is very practical and has multiple functions.
