A protection circuit for avoiding misplugging improper AC Power includes: a rectifier that accepts an AC voltage and outputs a single-direction pulsant voltage; a voltage comparator which has a fist input, a second input and an output; a sampler and filter circuit, whose input connects to the output of the rectifier and output connects to the fist input of the voltage comparator; an alarm circuit that connects to the output of the voltage comparator; a voltage regulator, that accepts the voltage from the rectifier and outputs a fixed-value voltage to the second input of the voltage comparator; a switch-control circuit, which controls the on/off between the voltage regulator 'output and the protection circuit' output in response to the control signal from the voltage regulator.
