Abstract
This invention provides a switch gear which reduces the force caused by an electromagnetic force exerting on a moveable part of a switch unit when a large current flows in the switch gear, while enhancing a contact pressure of contact point when the switch gear is closed. The switch gear has an upper main circuit conductor (11) extending from a fixed side of a vacuum switch tube (1) in a direction perpendicular to the axis line of the vacuum switch tube (1), and a lower main circuit conductor (15) connected to a flexible conductor (20) at a moveable side with a lower terminal (14) and extending in the same direction as the upper main circuit conductor (11), The flexible conductor (20) is constituted by two flexible conductors formed by bending a laminate of belt like thin plates into an "L" shape, and having a width direction parallel with the direction in which the main circuit conductor extends, the two flexible conductors being disposed symmetrically with respect to the axis line and each having one end bent in a direction perpendicular to the axis line and connected to the moveable side, and another end extending in a direction parallel to the axis line and away from the vacuum tube (1), and connected to the lower terminal (14).
