Abstract

A power management method of a car-borne computer system is provided, especially for effectively reducing car-borne computer system power consumption and keeping safety and reliability of the car-borne computer system while parking. The car-borne computer system consists of a power system, a MCU and a navigation system. The MCU is used to control the navigation system switching among the normal mode, sleep mode and power-off mode, so as to effectively control the car-borne computer system power. When the MCU cannot follow original count limit setting to switch the navigation system's power modes, the car-borne computer system uses the communication port to send error codes or use a display device or voice to inform users "equipment malfunction or repair". Therefore, safety and reliability of the car-borne computer system are achieved.
