Abstract
The present invention provides paint for steel material having corrosion resistance and rust resistance. This paint contains metal or alloy, which is noble than Fe in electric potential in aqueous solution. The metal or alloy has a shape like flake, preferably less than 5 μm in thickness and an average diameter in a longitudinal axis in 1-50 μm, and the paint contains water content of less than 0.8 wt% before painting , containing Mg of 0.1-10.0 wt% and the balance of Zn. The present invention further provides a steel material with a painted layer having a thickness of less than 300 μm after drying .
