Abstract

To provide a low-cost drop-in type cooking strove glass top plate with a vent hole 55 communicated with a stove body 2 and a hood portion 53 covering it, having a clear feeling inherent to a glass. The glass top plate 3 comprises two members, namely, a glass top plate main body 4 and a flame body 5 provided along the rear side thereof. The frame body 5 is formed of a metal extruded-molded material which has a front edge portion 51 adhered to the rear edge of the top plate main body 4 via a silicone caulking material 56, a flat portion 52 extending rearward from the front edge portion in an approximately horizontal direction, the hood portion 53 obliquely rearward and upward from the front edge portion, and a cover portion 54 protruding frontward from the front edge portion for covering the upper face of the rear side of the top plate main body 4. The vent hole 55 is opened in the flat portion 52 with after-machining. A resin supporting member 10 in contact with the lower face of the rear side of the top plate main body 4 is mounted on the flat portion 52 in a cantilevered condition.
