Abstract

A method for a wireless access point for operating in power-saving mode in a wireless communication system. The method includes following steps: (a) registering data for each wireless local area network (WLAN) card operating in power-saving mode in the wireless access point (AP); (b) determining aging times of each WLAN card; (c) when the aging times of each WLAN card operating in power-saving mode are smaller than a default value, comparing transfer data amounts of each WLAN card in power-saving mode with data corresponding to the WLAN cards in the wireless AP; and (d) when data corresponding to the WLAN cards in the wireless AP are smaller than the transfer data amounts of each WLAN card, transmitting data registered in the wireless AP to the WLAN cards in power-saving mode sequentially according to a rule of adding WLAN card.
