Abstract

An automatic glue-dispensing system and method thereof. The automatic glue-dispensing system has a platform, a controlling device, a driving device installed on the platform, an image sensing unit, an optical distance-measuring unit, and a glue-dispensing device. The platform has a plane disposed with a substrate; the image sensing unit is used to capture the image of the substrate and convert the image to a position calibrating signal; the optical distance-measuring unit has a light emitter and a light receiver, wherein the light emitter is capable of emitting a light beam on the substrate, and the light receiver is capable of detecting the reflective light of the light beam on the surface of the substrate and converting the data received to a highly calibrating signal; the glue-dispensing device is used to spray glue on the substrate; the driving device is used to drive the motion alongside X, Y, and Z axes of the glue-dispensing device on the surface of the platform. Accordingly, the position calibrating signal and the highly calibrating signal can be output in advance to the controlling device for correcting the coating pathway and height of the substrate.
