Abstract

The present invention relates to a multi-channel sound effect simulation system, which includes a 2 to more than 5.1 channel transformation device, a head related transfer function (HRTF) device and a synthesis device. The 2 to more than 5.1 channel transformation device is employed to transform an input sound source of 2 channels into a sound source of more than 5.1 channels. The head related transfer function device is coupled to the 2 to more than 5.1 channel transformation device for performing a spatial positioning to the sound source of more than 5.1 channels, thereby generating a positioned sound source. The synthesis device is coupled to the head related transfer function device for synthesizing the positioned sound source generated by the head related transfer function device to provide a positioned right-channel sound source a positioned left-channel sound source.
