Abstract

The present invention relates to a control circuit for power output mode and control method thereof, which is applied to a tiered power supply system. The power supply system provides a circuit board integrating multiple power supply units for power output and a control circuit disposed on the circuit board to drive the power supply units. The control circuit of the present invention has a parallel power supply mode and a backup power supply mode and is connected with a switching unit. The switching unit contains a first signal source and a second signal source pertinent to the parallel power supply mode and the backup power supply mode respectively, such that the user is allowed to send the first signal source or the second signal source generated by the switching unit to the control circuit for selecting an output driving signal to decide if the power output mode of the power supply unit is the parallel power supply mode or the backup power supply mode.
