Abstract

A driving method for driving a liquid crystal display is provided. The liquid crystal display has a plurality of gate-driving units, wherein each gate-driving unit comprises a plurality of gate-driving lines, which are neighboring to each other. First, select a gate-driving line of a first gate-driving unit and a gate-driving line of a second gate-driving unit. Next, update the selected gate-driving line of the first gate-driving unit by a black imaging signal in a first interval of a time period. Then, update the selected gate-driving line of the second gate-driving unit by a normal imaging signal in a second interval of the time period. And, repeat the above-mentioned steps. The driving method can improve the display quality of rapid dynamic images on the liquid crystal display.
