Abstract

This invention is related to a novel strain called Cellulosimicrobium cellulans (CC-GS16-1). The activity of CC-GS16-1 is analyzed and tested in solid medium, which indicates that CC-GS16-1 has six functional activities of chitin degradation, protein degradation, cellulose degradation, starch degradation, pectin degradation, and nitrogen fixing activity. CC-GS16-1 is analyzed and compared with 16SrRNA gene sequence to be identified as Cellulosimicrobium cellulans that is safe, non-pathogen. By means of the analysis of the characters of enzyme activity and carbon source utilization of CC-GS16-1 and the verification in a field test regarding the function of accelerating the growth of a plant, the CC-GS16-1 can be applied in developments and utilizations of the microbial fertilizer formulation and organic waste processing.
