Abstract
A tantalum powder of 0.1 to 1.0 g/cm<SP>3</SP> bulk density and 4 m<SP>2</SP>/g to 10 m<SP>2</SP>/g specific surface area. As the tantalum powder has a large specific surface area, by using the same as an anode of tantalum solid electrolytic capacitor, there can be obtained a tantalum solid electrolytic capacitor of large electric capacitance and reduced leakage current.
