The method of detecting the fixed charging amount of a chargeable battery and varying a charging current best suit to the detected fixed charging amount wherein a device is used to detect the fixed charging amount of a battery and a method is provided to control the charging current best suitable to the detected fixed charging amount via calculation whereby variable charging currents can be adapted to apply to different chargeable batteries having different fixed charging amount to acquire the best mode of charging for a battery.
