Abstract

A VoIP network bandwidth design system and a method thereof are disclosed, wherein under the existing VoIP network architecture, utilization rate of each chain in the VoIP network is obtained with bandwidth conversion for electrical lines that enter an IP network via media gateways, IP load distribution method, and IP network routing mechanism for determining if a bottleneck facility or chain in the VoIP network. Design of bandwidth of a chain between any two point in the entire VoIP network can be obtained through evaluation of load requirement by an IP load distribution module.
