Abstract
A method for making foamed body having venting holes, including the steps of: placing a blank into a mold unit having plural piercing needles; causing the blank to perform foaming and cross-linking actions while applying heat and pressure to the mold unit; cooling and reducing temperature of the mold unit; opening the mold unit to obtain a foamed body having venting holes; and slicing and trimming the foamed body. A blank may also be placed into a first mold unit in a preparatory process and subjected to heat and pressure to form a preformed blank. The preformed blank is then placed into the above mold unit to complete the foaming and cross-linking actions to obtain a foamed body having venting holes.
