Abstract

The present invention provides a magnesium sulfate fertilizer produced by normal temperature reaction from serpentine and a production method thereof. The invented method comprises: a uniform mixing step, which comprises uniformly mixing a powder of serpentine with a minute amount of catalyst; a sulfuric acid reaction step, which comprises placing the mixed powder in a reaction tank, adding a quantitative amount of sulfuric acid and performing a rapid mixing step to form magnesium sulfate; a drying step, which comprises removing moisture from the above semi-product; and a curing step, which comprises curing the magnesium sulfate-containing semi-product to obtain magnesium sulfate capable of being used as fertilizer.
