Abstract

The present invention relates to a multi-pole connector for coaxial cable and has an insulator (27), multiple contacts (28), and an electromagnetic shielding cover (29). The multiple contacts (28) are held and arranged along a horizontal direction by the insulator (27) and the electromagnetic shielding cover (29) covers at least a part of the insulator (27). The central conductor (25a) of the coaxial cable (25) is crimped with each contact (28). Multiple crimping blades are formed as one on the cover (29) and each crimping blade is crimped independently with an external conductor (25c) of the coaxial cable (25) to allow the external conductor (25c) to directly connect with the cover (29) so as to improve the electromagnetic shielding reliability.
