Abstract

The present invention discloses an electrical connector that is assembled on a printed circuit board and is used for electrically connecting a flat flexible cable onto the printed circuit board. The electrical connector has an accepting part, a ladder surface, a pair of first guiding surfaces, and a pair of second guiding surfaces. The accepting part uses a side of the printed circuit board to accept the front end of the flat flexible cable. From near to the front side in the cable insertion direction, the ladder surface limits a pair of guiding snugs located at the two side edges of the flat flexible cable's front end to position the flat flexible cable. Near to the front side of the accepting part in the cable insertion direction, the pair of first guiding surfaces are positioned higher than the accepting part by way of the ladder surface so as to guide the guiding snugs of the flat flexible cable from the sides of the printed circuit board. On the other side of the printed circuit board to the pair of first guiding surfaces, the pair of second guiding surfaces are separated face to face in a certain space to guide the pair of guiding snugs of the flat flexible cable from the other side of the printed circuit board.
