Abstract

This invention provides a controller arrangement structure for an elevator without a motor room. Particularly, the controller of the elevator is arranged to a support plate mounted between the cabin rails and the counterweight rails, so as to eliminate the provision of a machine room while allowing easy maintenance. The structure is such designed that, the gap between the guide rails located at the opposing sides of the counterweight is increased such that the guide rails of the counterweight and the guide rails of the cabin are in parallel. A support plate is straddled between the two rails. A support rack may be provided thereto with a straddle assembly that is provided thereon with transmission components, such as transmission gears, a motor controller, a brake and a transmission shaft. Cable is then properly provided with respect to the transmission gears so as to provide a linking relationship between the cabin and the counterweight. Since the transmission components, such as the motor controller, are directly straddled over the support rack, the controller room may be eliminated. Accordingly, this invention no longer needs to occupy the space of the building. Furthermore, during maintenance, one only needs to elevate the cabin to the topmost floor and opens the ceiling gate at the cabin top to allow easy maintenance of the controller.
