Abstract
A method for reinforcing an aluminum alloy engine component by laser alloying comprises removing grease from the surface of a blank of an aluminum alloy engine component; coating an alloy powder with a specified composition on the surface of the blank of the engine component, and optionally performing a synchronous or asynchronous laser operation during the coating operation of the alloy powder, so as to alloying the alloy powder and the blank of the engine component, in order to form an alloy layer from the surface of the aluminum alloy engine component towards the inside, thereby increasing the wear resistance of the engine component for a motorcycle.
