Abstract

A device for removing solids from liquids flowing in a gutter is provided with a grating (7) which is in the form of a cylindrical surface and has passage gaps (10), and which reaches into the gutter, is directed obliquely upwards and is partly submerged in the liquid, and with a conveying section for the material, which is arranged parallel and with play relative to the grating (7) and which takes the form of a screw conveyor with housing, shaft and conveying spiral, the conveying spiral, which extends along the grating (7), removing the material and conveying it upwards. The passage gaps (10) are arranged obliquely inclined relative to the axis (2) of the grating (7) in the form of a cylindrical surface and extend approximately parallel to the effective direction of the total force exerted by the conveying spiral on the material. <IMAGE>
