The temperature-sensitive shut-off valve uses an anti-friction member 24a which reduces wear and tear. Furthermore, a cam 26 directing a profile of a piston 42 reduces manual reset efforts. Further, the temperature-sensitive shut-off valve 34 of the TRSV 100 provides increased safety to the liquid analyzers by providing liquid samples below the predefined temperature.
