An electronic device (1) for measuring a user?s wrist thickness includes: a strap (3) for fitting round a user?s wrist (2). A wrist thickness sensor (6a, 6b) is housed in or on the strap (3). The wrist thickness sensor (6a, 6b) obtains a measure of the user?s wrist thickness when the strap (3) encircles a user?s wrist (2).
