Abstract

Bulus, insan ve bitkisel patojen mayalar/mantarlar ve/veya bakterilerle mücadele için ve bunlarin her birinin öldürmesini saglayan ve öldürücü bir mayadan üretilen protein toksininin sunumu ile ilgilidir. Bu bulusta Pichia anomala NCYC 434 susundan (veya esdegerlerinden ATCC:36903; NRRL:Y-2153) elde edilen, exo- -1,3 glukanaz aktivitesi olan ve bir protein saflastirilmis ve karakterize edilmistir. Yüksek derecelerdeki seçiciligi ve stabilitesi, bu protein toksinin antimikotik/antifungal ve antibakteriyel olarak kullanilmasini saglamaktadir. Ayrica söz konusu olan protein, bitkilerin ve besin maddelerinin patojenik mikroorganizmalara karsi korunmasinda kullanilabilir.
