Abstract

A method for quickly scanning analytes, such as potential drug candidates; the method is to apply a plurality of analytes to be scanned, one or more solid supports, separately; contacting said analyte-carrying solid support (s) with targets provided in a semi-solid or liquid medium; said analytes are dropped from solid support (supports) to targets; and measuring analyte-target interactions. This method allows thousands of different analytes to be processed simultaneously. If a candidate dose response response is required for the drug, the analyte will be dispersed over the solid support to produce a concentration gradient and serial analyte dilution. The described method can be automated.
