Abstract

The invention relates to an evaporator arrangement for cooling refrigeration chambers in a refrigerating device such as a refrigerator, a combination refrigerator and freezer or similar, comprising at least two series-connected evaporators (11, 16) which are arranged one behind the other in a single-circuit refrigeration system. One of said evaporators has a plate-type configuration (12, 17) and has a lower refrigerating capacity than the other. Both evaporators (10) are uniformly cooled by at least one refrigerant channel (13) for guiding the refrigerant. At the end of its course on the evaporator with the higher refrigerating capacity, said refrigerant channel extends into the section of the evaporator with the lower refrigerating capacity (16) that is allocated to the area of the refrigeration chamber cooled by this evaporator (16) that heats up the most (A). The refrigerant channel then extends from this area (A) across the remaining surface of the evaporator with the lower refrigerating capacity.
