Abstract

Our invention project consists of formulating a ready-to-use cold disinfectant for medical devices, floors and surfaces. The confirmation of the disinfectant power was carried out in accordance with the specifications of European standards and involved phase 1 and phase 2 (step 1 and 2) of validation of the antimicrobial activity. The study was carried out in collaboration with the association for the development, research and expertise in industrial microbiology (ADRLM./) whose head office is located in the laboratory of Microbiology - IMMUNOLOGY of the faculty of pharmaceutical sciences " Philippe Maupas ”, Tours, France. The analytical tests for evaluating the bactericidal activity of isopropyl alcohol combined with the detergent and sodium gluconate show that: ~ The active bactericidal dilution of isopropanol in sterile hard water and in dirty conditions must be 40% VN ~ The detergent, including the corrosion inhibitor, at a dilution of 5% VN and sodium gluconate at a dilution of 2% VN do not exhibit any inhibiting or potentiating effect on the active substance (Isopropanol) and helps make it more effective on soiled surfaces. This formulation, evaluated in dirty conditions and in hard water at contact times of 5 and 60 minutes at 20 ° C in accordance with the specifications of the standards and under the defined experimental conditions, exhibits antimicrobial activity against the reference strains. at dilutions ranging from 50 to 80% VN of the disinfectant. Our disinfection product meets the requirements of standard NF EN 13727+ Al (December 2013), standard NF EN 13624 (November 2013) for the disinfection of suifaces likely to be in contact with the patient and / or nursing staff and surfaces, which are frequently touched by different people, leading to the transmission of microorganisms to the patient (maximum contact time 5 minutes) and other surfaces (maximum contact time 60 minutes) as well as for the disinfection of devices and medical instruments.
