It receives communication signals via a power transmission line using an integrated communication control device within the lighting control unit. This allows it to receive control data from a remote lighting control center. A coupler enables phase-crossing of the lighting control devices, while a locked-in filter separates lighting noise from the control signal, improving communication quality. A photocell measures current ambient light levels, and a digital meter monitors energy consumption of the lighting devices. The main control unit activates relays to control the on/off and dimming levels of the lighting. The power transmission communication reports the lighting status via the power line, thus improving lighting efficiency and reducing energy consumption and maintenance costs. The coupler enables phase-shifting of the lighting control devices, with a locked-on filter separating lighting device noise from the control signal to improve communication quality. A photocell measures the current ambient light level, and a digital meter monitors energy consumption generated by the lighting devices. The main control unit commands relays to regulate the on/off and dimming levels of the lighting. Communication via the power transmission line reports the lighting status, thus improving lighting efficiency and reducing energy consumption and maintenance costs.
