According to this invention, the picture is arranged with indentations to hold interchangeable toy pieces (3-6). The picture and the interchangeable indentations are arranged so that the child is guided by the story to place the interchangeable toy pieces correctly in the flat picture, thus creating a three-dimensional representation of the situation described in the story. The indentations may be arranged in the flat picture so that the building pieces are placed in predetermined positions with spacing according to standard unit dimensions, which allows for the construction of multiple layers with interchangeable pieces.

Claims

1. A picture book that encourages play and contains ways to arrange an object on a plane of the picture. Its special characteristic is that the arrangement of the objects can be rearranged with different toy pieces.

2. The picture book described in claim 1 is unique in that its layout involves indentations in the picture sheets.

3. The picture book as described in claim 1 is characterized by a layout consisting of embossed reliefs on the picture sheets.

4. The picture book as described in any of the claims in Claims 1 through 3 is of a special characteristic in which the common distance between the ways of arrangement is an integer multiplied by the dimension of the standard unit of the toy part.
