The disposable absorbent device for wear by the wearer consists of: a permeable first-layer top sheet, which has a penetrating capacity of at least 0.25 g/m²; an absorbent core situated between the first-layer top sheet and the back sheet; a second-layer top sheet situated between the first-layer top sheet and the core; the second-layer top sheet has two primary faces, with the primary face oriented toward the first-layer top sheet and the secondary face oriented toward the core, with less than 50% of the surface area of the primary face of the second-layer top sheet bonded to the first-layer top sheet and at least 50% of the surface area of the secondary face of the second-layer top sheet bonded to the core; the second-layer top sheet has a penetrating capacity of less than approximately 0.20 g/m²; and a permeable back sheet partially bonded at least partially edge-to-edge to either one of the first-layer or second-layer top sheets.

A wearable absorbent device consists of a permeable primary layer, which has a minimum penetrating capacity of 0.50 g/m²; an absorbent core situated between the primary layer and the back layer; a secondary layer situated between the primary layer and the core; a secondary layer with two primary faces, one oriented toward the primary layer and the other toward the core, with less than 50% of the surface area of the primary face of the secondary face of the secondary layer bonded to the core; and a secondary layer with a penetrating capacity of less than approximately 0.20 g/m². Finally, there is a permeable back layer at least partially bonded at the edges to either one of the primary or secondary layers.
