A neutral liquid detergent mixture containing (a) 2-60% by weight of alkylglycosides, denoted by the formula (I) R1(OR2)xGy, where R1 is the straight or branched chain of an 8-18 carbon atom alkyl, alkenyl, or alkylphenyl group; R2 is the 2-4 carbon atom alkyl group; G is the residue of a reducing saccharide containing 5-6 carbon atoms; x is a number with an average of 0-5; and y is a number with an average of 0-5. (b) 0.1-10% by weight of deionic surfactants with an HLB of less than 5; (c) 0.1-10% by weight of deionic surfactants with an HLB of not less than 5; (d) 0.001-8% by weight of one or more water-soluble organic or inorganic salts selected from the group consisting of sulfates, chlorides, borates, phosphates, para-toluene sulfonates, methyl xylene sulfonates, benzoates, malates, succinates, tartarates, citrates, lactates and sodium and potassium edates and mixtures of these. The weighted ratio of component [(b)+(c)]/(a) is in the range of 1/10-1/1, and the weighted ratio of component (b) / (c) is in the range of 1/10-1/1.
