DC60 The disclosed portion is a hinge assembly for connecting a toilet seat and cover to a rear rear extension of a toilet bowl. The two base members are permanently attached to the extension in a spaced manner. The two hinge support members are provided so as to snap into place with the base member by means of flexible tabs on the base member that interconnect with the side wall holes on the hinge support. The hinge support, seat, and cover members can be removed from the extension by squeezing the sides of the hinge support members, leaving the base member attached to the extension. A hinge assembly for connecting the toilet bowl cover assembly to the rear of the toilet bowl, comprising a base member comprising a flexible vertical side wall and modified to attach the rear of an adjacent fork; a base member having a projection extending from the flexible vertical side wall; an extendable bracket through the base member for attaching the base member to the rear of the fork; a hinge support member modified to support the toilet bowl cover assembly; a hinge support member having an opening in this section; wherein the hinge support member is optionally positioned to receive the projection of the base member into the opening to connect the hinge support member to the base member in pairs; and whereby, when the hinge support member is coupled to the base member, the projection can be moved inward to optionally disassemble the hinge support member from the base member. 2. The hinge assembly of claim 1, wherein the toilet seat cover assembly is selected from a group consisting of a toilet seat, a toilet cover, and a combination toilet seat and cover. 3. The hinge assembly of claim 1, wherein the base member has a vertical through hole, the fastener is a bolt that passes through the vertical through hole, and the assembly further comprises a locating nut on the bolt below the rear extension. 4. The hinge assembly of claim 4, wherein the hinge support member has a hollow section opening downward internally which is connected to an upward opening and an opening of the hinge support member. 5. The hinge assembly of claim 4, wherein the hinge support member is provided with a rotating cover around the axis for covering and uncovering the top opening. 6. The hinge assembly of claim 1, wherein the hinge support member is welded to the hinge pin so as to provide a substantially horizontal pin axis for the toilet bowl covering member. 7. The hinge assembly of claim 1, wherein the base member has two such flexible vertical inner walls, both of which have projections extending from the side walls, wherein the projections extend in opposite directions. 8. The hinge assembly of claim 7, wherein the hinge support member has opposite side walls, both of which have at least one side wall opening. 9. The hinge assembly of claim 1, wherein there are two such base members and two such hinge support members, one of which is a hinge assembly for connecting the toilet cover assembly to the rear portion of the toilet, wherein the assembly comprises a base member furnished to attach to the rear portion of the toilet, a base member having an opening on the side therein, an extendable bracket through the base member for attaching the base member to the rear portion of the toilet, a hinge support member furnished to support the toilet cover assembly, a hinge support member having a projection extending therefrom, wherein the hinge support member is coupled to the base member, the base member having a flexible vertical inner wall to allow the folding support member to be separated from the base member.
