Preparation for indicating whether a closed container has been opened, where the container is of a type that accommodates a multi-part lid, with a label attached partly to the first part of the lid and partly to the second part of the lid. The label will have a specific size and shape, and the preparation consists of a section placed on the first part to form the first flat groove to support the label, and a section placed on the second part to form the next flat groove to support the label. The first and second grooves align when the container accommodates the lid and together define the boundaries of the precisely shaped and sized grooves of the label.

Preparation for maintaining the integrity of a labeled container, whereby the label indicates that the container has been opened when the label is removed or destroyed. Such preparation consists of a first lid portion for the mouth of the container, a second lid portion that snaps shut to the first lid portion, and the first and second lid portions are movable and can be separated when the container is opened, together holding the label in place. At least one of the first and second lid portions will have a surface, including an overhang, that can be broken off by the user to access the label.

The arrangement for sealing the container consists of a first lid section relating to the container and designated as the first groove ending at the first open end; a second lid section for attachment to the first lid section and for sealing the opening in the first lid section and designated as the next groove ending at the next open end. The first and next open ends are aligned when the second lid section seals the opening; and a label for attachment attached to the first and second lid sections and positioned within the first and subsequent grooves.

Preparation for Sealing the Container Neck. Such preparation includes a label to be affixed to indicate if the neck of the container is opened. Such preparation includes a first lid segment relative to the container neck; such first lid segment defines the first groove ending at the first open end; and a second lid segment for the sealing engagement of the first lid segment. Such second lid segment also defines the next groove ending at the next open end. The first and next open ends align when the first and second lid segments are sealed engagement. The first and subsequent corresponding grooves together hold the label within them. (Clause 15, page 4, figure 3)
