Abstract

DC60 (13/02/55) Portable beverage container consisting of a container body that screws onto a lid. One side of the lid has an opening for inserting and securely fitting the straw. Another side of this opening has a straw holder for resting the upper end of the straw. The edge of the lid has grooves along its entire length for swivel fastening. The lid is molded with a curved surface to match the curved upper surface of the container. One side of the lid is cut out in a curved line that matches the curvature of the surface, revealing the straw opening and straw holder. The lower edge of the lid has a swivel hook along its entire length for swivel fastening into the side grooves of the container. The slot for inserting the straw serves as a straw holder, supporting the upper end of the straw. The sides of the container lid have grooves along its entire length, providing a swivel locking mechanism. The lid is molded to have a curved surface that matches the curved upper surface of the container. One side of the lid is cut out in a curved section, sized to match the curvature of the surface, revealing the straw slot and straw holder. The lower edge of the lid features a wing-like locking mechanism along its entire length, allowing it to swivel and secure into the side grooves of the container lid.

Claims (4)

1. A portable beverage container consisting of a body (1) which is a container of a specified size and shape for use in holding beverages, at the top of the body (1) is the neck (3) which has a diameter smaller than the size of the body (1), on the outer surface of the neck (3) which is formed into an external thread (4) for screwing onto the internal threaded surface of the lid (5), and the lid (5) which has an inner diameter that corresponds to the diameter of the neck (3) so that it can be properly screwed onto the neck (3), on the inside of the lid (5) which is formed into an internal thread for screwing onto the external thread (4) of the neck (3). Specifically, the lid (5) has a slot on one side for inserting a straw (6) for the straw (8) to pass through and fit snugly into the slot (6), and on one side of the slot for inserting the straw (6) is a straw rest (7) for use as a stand.
