The laundry loading/unloading opening 11 in the water tank 3 is positioned such that its center is offset upwards from the center of the drum's axis of rotation 5, and the door 8 is designed to face this loading/unloading opening 11, with their centers roughly aligned. Therefore, opening door 8 and loading/unloading laundry from inside the drum is easier (selected figure). Claims (3)

1. Drum washing machines have a distinctive design: a rotating cylindrical drum with a flat bottom is enclosed within a cylindrical water tank with a flat bottom. The openings of this tank are aligned, and the lid has an opening for loading and unloading laundry. This opening is centered off-center from the drum's axis, towards the top, and has a diameter smaller than the drum's opening. The water tank unit, formed by connecting the motor to the drum's rotating shaft, is housed within the washing machine housing. Furthermore, the housing is designed with an independently opening and closing door, its center roughly aligned with the center of the laundry loading and unloading opening. 2. The drum washing machine under claim 1 has a special feature: the edge of the cover over the opening of the rotating drum at the load/unload port is designed with a protruding anti-pinch feature that extends into the inside of the rotating drum. 3.
