DC60 (01/07/47) This description reveals the existing sheet structure, relating to its large size in the longitudinal direction. It consists of a liquid-pervious topsheet, a liquid-impervious backsheet, a liquid-absorbent core inserted between the top and backsheets, and an outer covering sheet extending from the mid-to-back region. The covering sheet is secured at its lateral edges on opposite sides transversely to the lateral edges of the sheet. The secured ends are attached to the back end of the sheet, and a free-flowing section extends between the secured lateral edges and the secured ends, thus creating an opening from the side of the anterior region to the side. The posterior region defined between the backsheet and the cover sheet is exposed in this context as a large area in the longitudinal direction and consists of a liquid-pervious topsheet, a liquid-impervious backsheet, a liquid-absorbent core inserted between the topsheet and backsheet, and a cover sheet located outside the backsheet and extending from the mid-to-back region of the sheets. The cover sheet is secured at its lateral edges on opposite sides transversely to the lateral edges of the sheets. The secured ends are attached to the posterior ends of the sheets, and the free portion extends between the secured lateral edges and the secured ends and is free from the sheets. Thus, an opening is created from the side of the anterior region to the side of the posterior region defined between the backsheet and the cover sheet.

Claims (12)

1. The disposable body fluid absorbent pad, with its longitudinal and transverse directions, comprises an anterior region, a posterior region, an intermediate region, a region between the anterior and posterior regions, a liquid-pervious topsheet, a liquid-impervious backsheet, and a liquid-absorbent core. The pad is shaped by opposing longitudinal ends that can be stretched, an outward anterior end in the transverse direction, and an intermediate posterior end of the liquid-absorbent core. The opposing transverse stretchable lateral edges in the longitudinal outer direction, the opposing transverse lateral edges of the liquid-absorbent core, and the insertion space are enclosed by a designated cover. Between the aforementioned insertion slot, the covering plate and a portion of the outer surface of the liquid-impervious backsheet, and at least one guiding opening leading the wearer's hand into the insertion slot, and at least a portion of the outer perimeter of the covering plate is bonded to the outer surface of the liquid-impervious backsheet. 2. The sheet pursuant to claim 1, in this case, is placed over the front, intermediate, and rear areas mentioned above, at least above the intermediate area mentioned above. 3. The plate under Requisition 1, in this case, is a covering plate that extends at least above the aforementioned midline area and the aforementioned posterior area, and has its ends secured and extended in the transverse direction of the aforementioned longitudinal posterior end of the plate. The insertion slot is defined as a closed pocket from the aforementioned side of the aforementioned anterior area to the aforementioned posterior area. 4. The plate under claim 5, in this case, the outer wall is constructed with a ductile elastic component attached thereto. This ductile elastic component thus exhibits loop-like properties as a significant feature in the circumferential direction of the outer wall and is capable of contraction in that circumferential direction. 7. The sheet under claim 1, in this case, the size of the convex portion of the liquid-absorbent core is measured from above the surface of the core in contact with the wearer's body. The anterior half of the anterior portion of the intermediary area is larger than the posterior half of the intermediary area and the posterior portion. 8. The sheet under claim 1, in this case, the interstitial region is made of a transversely extended folding guide. The interstitial region in all directions, where the sheet is folded in two, has an inner upper layer and a liquid-absorbent core with lower rigidity in the folding guide than in other sections of the liquid-absorbent core. 9. The sheet under claim 1, in the case where the intervening area is made with a transverse expanding fold, the intervening area in the opposite direction along the transverse direction throughout where the sheet is folded in two by the inner side of the upper sheet, and the fold is made by the upper and back sheets, except for the liquid-absorbent core. 10. In the case of the sheet under claim 1, where the liquid-absorbent core is constructed in the vicinity of the outer edge of the cover sheet with a raised ridge, and the thickness of the liquid-absorbent core, measured between the top and back sheets, is thicker than the raised ridge on other sections of the liquid-absorbent core, then the sheet shall be deemed to have a higher thickness than the raised ridge on other sections of the liquid-absorbent core. 11. The sheet under claim 1, in this case, the covering sheet is made to be a different color from the top and back sheets mentioned above. 12. The sheet pursuant to claim 1. In this case, the covering sheet contains a significant indicator element that is pre-defined on the sheet.
