The underside of each wing-like edge is sealed to the lower washer, and the upper surface of each wing-like edge is sealed to the upper washer. The top of the food container is a paper cover sized to fit the top of the food container. The side edges along both lengths of the cover have fastening points created by folding and sealing the side wings inward at an acute angle.
