1. ยาสีฟันประกอบด้วยสารทำความสะอาดที่มีสารขัด, สารบำบัดรักษา (therapeuticagent ) , 0.01 ถึง 0.6% โดยนำหนักของ สารให้กลิ่นรส, 0.002 ถึง 0.1 % โดยน้ำหนักของโซเดียมแซกคา ริเนต หรือสารให้ความหวานชนิดอื่นที่มีปริมาณเท่าเทียมกัน และ 0 ถึง 1.5% โดยน้ำหนักของสารลดแรงตึงผิวประเภทแอนไอออก นิก
2. ยาสีฟันตามที่ได้ขออ้างสิทธิไว้ในข้อถือสิทธิข้อที่ 1 นั้น สารขัดได้แก่ ซิลิกาหรืออะลูมินา
3. ยาสีฟันตามที่ได้ขออ้างสิทธิไว้ในข้อถือสิทธิข้อที่ 1 หรือ 2 สารบำบัดรักษาเป็นเกลือซึ่งปลดปล่อยไอออนออกฤทธิ์ใน การบำบัดรักษแท็ก :
