A fan assembly consisting of a housing with a front and rear surfaces defined as a passageway between them; an electric motor; blades made suitable for rotation by such motor; a grille positioned above the front surface of the housing for redirecting the airflow generated by the blades; a fan support mounted on the rear surface of the housing; and a mounting unit fitted onto the fan support for securing the fan assembly to a ceiling or wall. The fan support and mounting unit have interlocking surfaces angled at a predetermined angle.

The support has a mounting unit that can rotate into these grooves.
