These components together form a longitudinal absorbent piece, and a longitudinal attachment device is attached to the impermeable sheet and extends transversely along the length of the absorbent piece. This attachment device is adapted to secure the absorbent piece to the crotch area of the underwear. The attachment device covers the interlocking section, which is sandwiched between the impermeable sheet and the pair of attachment units. Each attachment unit has a section and can move between two positions: the section of the attachment unit is directly in contact with the interlocking section, and the second position where the section of the attachment unit extends laterally over the absorbent piece.

This attachment device consists of two parts: the first wing, adjacent to the impermeable layer, interlocks with a vertically protruding side section and then with the second wing, which extends parallel to the first wing. Each of the first wings forms an adjacent side section, and the second wing forms a U-shaped border. The wings of this U-shaped border may bend outwards but tend to return to their original position parallel to the first wing due to the resilient properties of the material used.
