Abstract

DC60 [Problem to be solved] This invention provides for a two-wheeled or three-wheeled motor vehicle with space reserved for the passengers' feet and with weight balance of the motor vehicle body in the forward and rear directions. [Solution] The seats, including the front seat for the driver4 and the rear seat for the passenger5, are located separately to the rear from the front seats4. Claims (20)

1. A two-wheeled or three-wheeled motor vehicle consisting of a chassis and an engine unit mounted on the chassis, and seats mounted on the chassis in such a way that the seats, including the front seat for the driver and the rear seats for the passengers located further back, are separate from the front seats, and the engine unit is mounted to the chassis where at least the front portion of the engine unit is located between the left and right footwells of the driver. 2. A two-wheeled or three-wheeled motor vehicle as referred to in Claim 1 is of the nature that, between the front and rear seats, a space is created that recesses downwards below the lower edge of the rear seats and passes in the direction of the width of the vehicle. 3. The two-wheeled or three-wheeled motor vehicle referred to in Clause 1 is of the nature that, between the front and rear seats, a recessed space, which runs in the direction of the width of the vehicle, is created at a position lower than any other recessed space created in front of the front seats. 4. A two-wheeled or three-wheeled vehicle as referred to in Claim 1 has a chassis with a main frame that extends over the engine unit located towards the rear of the vehicle. 5. Two-wheeled or three-wheeled motor vehicles as referred to in claim 4 are characterized by the front seats being mounted on a main frame. 6. A two-wheeled or three-wheeled motor vehicle according to claim 5 is characterized by a main frame with a sloping section extending downward and rearward from the head tube, which supports a forked steel bar at the front, and the front seat is mounted on the sloping section. 7. The two-wheeled or three-wheeled motor vehicle referred to in Article 6 is of a type in which the sloping portion of the main frame, including the sloping attachments, extends to the rear and downward of the vehicle away from the portion of the sloping portion where the front seat is mounted. 8. A two-wheeled or three-wheeled motor vehicle as referred to in Claim 5 is of the nature that the fuel tank is mounted on the main frame and the front seat is attached to the main frame via the fuel tank. 9. The two-wheeled or three-wheeled motor vehicle as described in Clause 4 is characterized by a rear frame that extends at an angle from the main frame to the rear and top of the vehicle, and the rear seats are mounted on the rear frame. 10. The two-wheeled or three-wheeled motor vehicle as referred to in Claim 1 has the following characteristics when viewed from the side: the vehicle has left and right footwells for passengers located above the engine unit. 11. The two-wheeled or three-wheeled motor vehicle referred to in Claim 1 is such that, when viewed from the side, the left and right passenger footprints are located at the rear of the engine unit. 12. The two-wheeled or three-wheeled motor vehicle as referred to in claim 11 is such that, when viewed from the side of the vehicle, the left and right footwells for passengers are lower than the highest part of the engine unit. 13. The two-wheeled or three-wheeled motor vehicle as referred to in Claim 1 is of the nature that the engine unit has an engine body and intake system connected to the engine body and extends forward of the vehicle, and the intake system is located between the left and right footwells of the driver. 14. A two-wheeled or three-wheeled motor vehicle according to claim 1 is of the nature that the engine unit is mounted such that its highest point is lower than the highest point of either the higher part of the front or rear wheel. 15. A two-wheeled or three-wheeled motor vehicle according to claim 14 is of the nature that the engine unit is mounted such that the highest end of the engine unit is positioned below the line of contact between the upper ends of the front and rear wheels. 16. A two-wheeled or three-wheeled motor vehicle according to claim 15 is of the nature that the engine unit is mounted such that the highest end of the engine unit is positioned lower than the upper ends of the front and rear wheels. 17. A two-wheeled or three-wheeled motor vehicle according to claim 14 is characterized by an engine unit, including the engine body, in which the cylindrical shafts extend forward and backward and in the horizontal direction. 18. Two-wheeled or three-wheeled motor vehicles as referred to in Claim 1 are characterized by the engine unit being mounted on the chassis in a fixed position. 19. The two-wheeled or three-wheeled motor vehicle referred to in Claim 1 is of a nature in which the engine unit is mounted on the chassis in such a way that the engine unit can swing up and down. 20. Two-wheeled or three-wheeled vehicles are constructed with a chassis and engine mounted on the chassis, and the seats mounted on the chassis are arranged in a manner where the seats, including the front seat for the driver and the rear seats for the passengers, are located behind and separate from the front seats. A recessed space, which slopes downwards and runs along the width of the vehicle, is created between the front and rear seats at a lower position than any other recessed space created in front of the front seats.
