A pull-on disposable diaper consists of an anterior and posterior waist area, positioned between the waist areas. Each tape fastener has an upper end adjacent to the waist opening and a lower end adjacent to the leg opening, respectively. The lower end is connected to the diaper by an extending connection area that encircles the waist area. Adjacent to the outer edge of the opening for the leg, the welded area protrudes inward at an angle, encircling the waist from the opposite transverse edge towards the upper end.
