Next, gather the elastic using a fastener, sewing over the seam between the foam cups and the back fabric piece. Finally, sew the gathered outer fabric (both top and bottom) to the top of the foam cups and the back fabric piece. Lastly, sew bias tape to the top edge of the foam cups. Next, sew the elastic to the upper back edge. Flip the outer fabric over and sew it to the back piece to create the shoulder strap loops. Then, sew the outer fabric to the bottom of the chest lining and sew over it again. Flip the outer fabric over to cover the foam cups, bringing the seams inside the bra. Sew the opening at the end of the back piece closed. Finally, place the bias tape over the end of the back piece and sew the male and female hooks onto the ends of the back piece. This will create a supportive, wire-free bra.
